This book is the story of Eden and Clay Larson, and their battle to save their marriage as they try to find their missing baby girl. It’s a story of perseverance and trust in God’s plan, as the twists and turns carry them into danger and unanticipated situations.
I give this book 4 1/2 stars. I have always been a fan of Colleen Coble, but was especially captured by this book because it literally had me guessing until the very end. I will say that some of the plot is rather unrealistic, but that doesn’t render the book unenjoyable in the least.
I appreciate the way that Colleen builds her characters and helps you become invested in their lives. When Eden and Clay separate after their little girl initially goes missing, you truly want to see things work out for them – and even more when they later reunite as camp counselors in an attempt to hopefully identify their beloved daughter who’s been missing for several years.
This was truly one of my favorite of her books! I don’t often reread books – especially ones with a little suspense – but I will definitely be reading this one again!
