A Journey Toward Thankfulness (Day 19)

Please pardon the interruption in my posts … I have scribbled my “thankful” notes each day by hand but due to a business trip, quickly followed by a trip home for the Thanksgiving holidays, I am a little behind on writing the posts.

Today, I made the 6 1/2 hour drive to my parents’ home in the Texas Panhandle for the Thanksgiving holidays.  I’m so thankful for the time of quiet and solitude – what a peaceful drive it was!  Once I left the busy suburban traffic in my town, it was clear skies and almost empty roads all the way home.

There’s something about going home, no matter how long you’ve been gone – or whether it’s even the same house from your childhood.  There’s something that just lets you let down your hair, throw on some sweats, and relax.

Thank you, Lord, for a safe and peaceful drive home today.

I'm blessed to have you visiting my blog today! Please feel free to share your thoughts below - I'd truly love to hear from you!
